Mr. A.P. Singh highlighted various career opportunities available in Indian banking sector. In his opinion, the demand for banking service is very high as compared to other Government services in present era and a variety of career options are available in this sector. He also pointed out various benefits of banking services such as job security, least political interference, opportunities for overseas posting, quick promotion, etc. In his views, the entry to the Indian banking sector is completely free from evil.The lecture concluded with an interactive session between the students and Mr. A.P. Singh.

Prof. A.K. Singh discussed on the Past Performances & Future Challenges of the Uttar Pradesh Economy. He discussed various socio-economic issues related to Uttar Pradesh such as low level of per capita income, high incidence of poverty, sluggish economic growth, high population pressure, low life expectancy & high regional disparities. He also pointed out various problems concerned with the natural resources of the State like low level of forest cover, land and soil degradation, etc. In his opinion, poor investment climate, poor infrastructure, ineffective policies and various political and institutional constraints are the factors responsible for these problems.
